I finally joined Planet Fitness yesterday. I loved going there when we lived in Lexington, but when we moved, it wasn’t feasible to go there anymore with my schedule and the drive. But now that Henry is swimming four times a week at a pool right by it, I decided that it would be a good fit for me again. I walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill and then used the Hydromassage for 10 minutes and then enjoyed the last 15 minutes of his swim team time. It felt so good to have organized movement again! I listened to the Lazy Genius podcast and kept the pace light.
Today I went to the first meeting of a local MOMS group. I have served as a mentor mom for many years now (8? 9?), and enjoy encouraging younger mothers. Wonderful food, laughter, and connection with other women brings life and beauty. It felt good to see old friends and new faces, to hear women’s stories, and to listen to where the Spirit may be leading me to pray.
I came home and put in a Walmart pick up order of all the essentials for the dinners for the next week. I need to run to Publix and grab a few things for the dinner plan for tonight (good old Poppyseed Chicken! and roasted green beans in the air fryer!) I have a few loads of laundry to fold, but I believe a solid nap is calling my name. I don’t have a swim meet to be at this evening so there is plenty of time to knock out my chores later! This week feels slower with a bit more breathing room, and I am grateful. The weekend will be busy with a mountain bike race and a swim meet, but all good. And of course, PICKLEBALL!
Much mid-week love,
Aimee
