Wednesdays are full. We get paid every Wednesday, and so I used my morning to pay bills, tweak meal plans, order groceries through Walmart pick-up, and went to Costco. I always make sure my kitchen counters are clear, and my fridge/freezer are mostly organized before I bring groceries home. Nothing worse than bringing in a bunch of groceries to counters filled with dirty dishes and a fridge filled with expired leftovers!
Today I also worked a few hours for Abundant Graze! It’s been a full day with much more of it still to go. I bought three rotisserie chickens, and when I am done writing, I will go pull the meat, put in freezer bags, and store until needed for chicken spaghetti, honey lime chicken enchiladas, and poppyseed chicken. This afternoon I have to take my son Luke his swim bag/dinner to the bus loop at the high school, and then I will drive about 45 minutes away to his swim meet, volunteer as a timer, and get home late. My husband and oldest son go to a class at church on Wednesday evenings on Gender and Sexuality, and my youngest goes to a 5th grade program there. I am already looking forward to bedtime!
It was nice to see the big plastic dividers that were put up at the beginning of the pandemic officially taken down at the Costco check-out lines. Stores like HomeGoods and Michaels have full inventory. I had gotten used to seeing spare shelves for so long that I forgot all the ABUNDANCE of choices we used to have. Most social and shopping opportunities are feeling like good old 2019 again, and I feel a deep sigh of relief.
Well, I am off! Much to finish up. I keep trying to love my future self by using my time really well. Staying ahead of the game in Autumn makes for a smooth + steady pace.
