Lately I've been feeling similar to the way you describe. I've found a Christian meditation app "Encounter" that takes about 15-20 minutes. Often, I'll run an Epsom salt bath, get some hot (or cold) tea, and meditate. He leads you through a few Bible verses. That helps. Other times it's just a "posturing" myself. Acknowledging that I love Jesus with my whole heart, getting on my knees where I am and recognizing His Presence. This refocuses me and keeps me grounded. I'm so grateful that you are pouring out your life in this. It means a lot. Keep up the wonderful work! Hugs.
Me too!! I shower every night and it is a “closing ceremony” of my day a transition into a quiet evening routine. I love the way my mind drifts or solves problems or gets ideas in the shower!
“ I am forgetting things, losing things, repeating myself.”. Whew! I thought I was the only one. ;) I have really been enjoying your posts this week; they’ve been a gentle reminder of what is needful.
Lately I’ve been finding peace in freshening different parts of the house. Sometimes it’s just adding a vase of flowers, but mainly I’ve been rearranging rooms. A year here without major house interventions (we moved into a fixer upper three years ago and are finally at the point where we aren’t just fixing up previous owner’s mistakes), and I feel more connected with the flow of the home and what ought to go where.
This weekend I hope to listen to the relaxing hum of my sewing machine since a daughter has a birthday coming up. Meanwhile, I’m going to fill my favorite flowered water bottle!
Freshening the house is the best!! I feel like my best self when I am doing that. I am able to get into “flow” and it feels so good. That happens to me when I sew too. So so good.
Oh yes. Reading. Definitely one of my top ways to calm too. It helps if I put my phone in another room and don’t have it next to me when I read. Getting lost in a story is lovely.

Thanks for sharing that, Selena! I’ll go take a peek at that app. I love the idea of “posturing”
Don't laugh. Showers are one of my favorite ways to do this. But also washing dishes or knitting.
